About
57 is a leading production company that organises large-scale comedy festivals, shows and tours across the UK, selling over 100,000 tickets annually. Known for presenting top comedians in iconic venues like London’s Union Chapel, 57 approached Oat Studio to refresh their branding. Having previously worked on several of their festival designs, we were tasked with creating an updated identity.

Challenge
The main challenge was designing a versatile logo that would stand out across various formats, especially on event posters, which are crucial for promoting their nationwide comedy events. The logo needed to strike the right balance between professional and lively, while ensuring clarity at small sizes on websites and other materials.
Solution
Oat Studio refreshed the 57 branding by designing a 3D logo with stacked numerals that subtly convey a sense of movement and character. Bright, vibrant colours – blue, orange and green – were used to add energy and abstract shapes were introduced as image holders to reinforce the brand’s dynamic nature. The new identity was applied across merchandise like T-shirts, totes, and lanyards, as well as digital platforms and business stationery, ensuring the brand remained cohesive and visually impactful in all applications.
